The framework

Plat→Master is roughly 800 LP. At a 4.0 average placement (top-4 break-even) you gain ~16 LP/game net, so you need ~50 games of positive EV. The plan is built around removing the 5 mistakes that account for 80% of 8th-place runs at Plat.

Week 1 — comp pool of 3

Your comps

Pick one reroll, one flex, one fast-9. Recommended: Aatrox reroll (floor), Marauder 6 flex (ceiling at 8), Stargazer fast-9 (ceiling at 9).
Force your reroll comp every 3rd game even when the lobby is wrong. You learn the comp's failure modes — and those are the games where you climb the fastest in week 2.

Week 2 — opener decision tree

Memorize this:
Carousel item: Sword → Aatrox reroll. Bow/Cloak → Marauder 6. Tear/Rod → fast 9. Stage 2 hits: 2 Vayne by 2-3 = pivot Vayne reroll. 3 Aatrox by 2-3 = lock Aatrox reroll. Nothing by 2-3 = econ to 50, fast 8.

Week 3 — positioning

Bottom-row carry, opposite-corner frontline. Two-row scout window on 1-1 of every stage. Stop autopiloting the same position every game.

Week 4 — closing out

By now your average placement should be 4.0–4.3. The last 200 LP is about greed — when you have a winning Stage 4 board, push level 9 instead of consolidating. The +200 LP swing from converting 3rds to 1sts is what gets you over the finish line.

Review checklist

After every game, ask three questions: (1) Was my opener correct given my components? (2) Did I miss a pivot window? (3) Did I lose because of a fight order I controlled?
If the answer to #3 is yes, that's free LP next time. Write it in a note. Re-read the notes monthly.
